Welcome to Longdogia Dachshunds, located in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico. We are a small
mother-daughter owner handler team and breeders of miniature dachshunds that started raising this fun
loving breed in Rhode Island, in 2007. After a short hiatus, a relocation, and the desire to truly breed
for the best possible puppies, we are proud to announce that with a few amazing new additions,
Longdogia Dachshunds is now in the show ring with our own dogs, and a few select dachshunds that we
handle for others. Our show dogs, and any future additions we make are high quality dogs, with amazing
temperaments, and tested to ensure they are free of hereditary and genetic issues related to this
breed. Look for this mother-daughter team in shows all over NM, CO, AZ, and many other states we
travel to!!
I worked as a veterinary/ICU technician for years, till a bad back and failed back surgery forced me
into early retirement. This background however, gives me some invaluable ties to the veterinary
community to this day, with access to the "latest and greatest" trends in veterinary care, genetic
testing, specialists, etc. Our goal is to show and breed on a small scale, dogs that are a true
representative of the breed standard. All dogs and litters will be AKC registered, and free of genetic
health problems.
Our dogs live indoors with us as pampered pets, we do not have a kennel, they enjoy their fenced in
backyard, spend time lounging on the sofa or snuggled up in bed. They are raised and treated as part of
the family, and get plenty of attention, socialization, lots of play time, daily walks in the canyon park, they
are very loved and are my 4 legged "furkids".
